Ian is an experienced and qualified accountant with a Bachelor of Business and is a CPA. He has lived in Traralgon most of his life and has been a director of the practice since 1995. Ian is available to assist you with business development, planning and taxation advice. Whether it be Business Structures, Income Tax, GST or specific project matters Ian is available to assist you in planning and implementing change.

Wendy a Chartered Accountant has been in public practice for over 10 years and is a Director of the practice. Wendy's audit and tax background enable her to review, plan and implement accounting systems and controls critical to business growth and profitability. Wendy is also available to assist you with any GST issues you may face. When Wendy is not at the office, she is takes on the role of mum to two children. Between these two roles she finds some time to her self to enjoy craft, sewing, cooking and just peace and quite.

Ian is the managing director of the practice and has over 20 years of experience as a Chartered Accountant in the Latrobe Valley. Ian's knowledge and experience is invaluable in providing advice and guidance to a large number of clients on matters of business and taxation planning. Ian has a passion for mountain bike riding and will be seen heading for the bush at every opportunity.

Gerard has over 30 years experience as a Chartered Accountant and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our team. Leading our Financial Planning he is ready to assist you with your investment objectives. Gerard is also our property projects consultant acting as director / secretary to the syndicates in which our clients have invested.

Rod is a graduate of Monash University (Gippsland) and is a CPA. Rod became a director of the company on 1 July 2004. Rod has lived in Traralgon all of his life and has been with the firm since 1995. As a result of the rapid expansion of our financial planning division in recent years from 1 July 2006 Rod will no longer be specialising in small business and personal taxation matters and has moved into our financial planning team. Rod's external interests include sporting activities, films, and family and friends. Rod particularly enjoys playing football, has been associated with the Cowwarr Football Club for over 15 years and is a current committee member. He is a keen fisherman and also enjoys swimming and most other outdoor activities.

Adrian specialises in computer software installation, program servicing and problem solving he has been with the firm since 1994. Adrian has plenty of hands on experience with day-to-day record keeping requirements of small business through many years of maintaining the books for his family's business in Traralgon, previous treasurer of Traralgon & District Agricultural Society and previous roles with in the practice. Adrian is responsible for maintaining and developing the computer systems for our office and a number of clients. Adrian is a Microsoft Certified Professional, and was a Quicken Accredited Consultant for many years, and a qualified chef. Adrian enjoys playing with his three kids and was a Cub Scout leader with 1st Traralgon for five years.

Dale is a graduate from Monash University Gippsland having obtained a Bachelor of Business and a Bachelor of Arts in May 2000. Dale joined the team in July 1998 and has achieved CPA status. Dale specialises in the preparation of financials and tax returns for businesses and self managed superannuation funds. Dale is a keen golfer and enjoys fishing and camping whenever time (and the weather) permits.

Michael joined our team in July 2000 while studying his Bachelor of Business (Accounting & Economics) at Monash, graduating in 2002. Currently Michael is studying to become a Certified Practicing Accountant. Michael assists many clients with the preparation and lodgement of their Income Tax Returns, Instalment Activity Statements and Business Activity Statements. Michael also assists the senior members of the firm with Business Reporting and Taxation. Michael plays Soccer, enjoys fishing, motorbike riding and camping.

Michael joined our team in July 2000 while studying his Bachelor of Business (Accounting & Economics) at Monash, graduating in 2001. Michael achieved status of Certified Practicing Accountant in May 2006. Michael assists many clients with the preparation and lodgement of their Income Tax Returns and management accounting functions. Michael also assists the senior members of the firm with Business Reporting and Taxation. Michael enjoys snowboarding during the winter months and fishing over the warmer months of the year.

Brooke joined our team in February 2003 while studying her Bachelor of Business with a major in Accounting and sub majors in Management and Information Technology. Currently Brooke is studying to become a Certified Practicing Accountant. Brooke assists with Business Reporting and the preparation and lodgement of Income Tax Returns for senior management. Brooke’s external interests include sporting activities, family and friends. Brooke particularly enjoys playing and coaching Basketball and has been associated with Morwell Basketball for over 10 years. Like Christine, Brooke is a passionate Collingwood supporter.

Leigh joined the team in 2000 and is a qualified CPA. Leigh specialises in assisting the senior members of the team in preparing financial reports for business clients. Leigh is keen participant in a wide range of sports, and enjoys the company of friends in her spare time.

Melissa joined our team in June 2005 and is currently studying a Bachelor of Business and Commerce with a major in Accounting at Monash University. Melissa worked for the first year as a Para Planner in the Financial Planning team and has now joined the accounting side. Melissa's other interests include Go-Karting, Netball, Tennis and Skiing.

Samantha joined our team in January 2006, and is currently completing the Bachelor of Business and Commerce at Monash University. She loves country music and literature, plays netball with the Cowwarr Football Netball Club and is an avid bomber supporter.

Stephen joined our team in March 2006. He graduated from Monash University in 2006 completing a degree in Bachelor of Business and Commerce with a major in Accounting. Stephen enjoys all sport particularly cricket and soccer, he is a passionate Western Bulldogs supporter and member and a committee member at the Morwell Cricket Club for the last 2 years.

Luke joined our team in December 2006. In March 2008 he graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Business and Commerce, majoring in Accounting and Economics. In his spare time Luke enjoys helping out of the family farm and playing football. He is a passionate Kangaroos supporter and a premiership player with the Heyfield Football Club. Some of his other interests include Waterskiing, Wakeboarding and Tennis.

Beau joined our team in July 2007 doing work experience through Gippsland Group Training and Monash University.

Lisa joined our team in January 2008, she achieved CPA Status in August, 2007. She enjoys watching many sports and is a Carlton Football Club Supporter. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with friends and family.

Christine's position involves secretarial support, back-up reception and ATO liaison, she has been with us since 1994. Christine attends to the company incorporations, searches, name and address changes for companies and directors, etc. She has been with the firm for nine years and is an integral part of our team. As an avid Collingwood supporter she gets plenty of stirring from team members and clients. Goes to the gym twice a week, loves cooking, social get togethers and her family.

Margery is the full time administration officer for the practice, responsible for ensuring implementation of firm policies and procedures. Margery is the personal assistant to Ian Johnston and many enquiries to Ian can be directed to Margery for prompt attention. Margery also undertakes accounts payable and BAS reporting obligations for client syndicates, while controlling the practices' purse strings.

Rocchina is our receptionist. She will be your first point of contact with our firm. She can point you to the right person to talk to, to help with your enquiries.

Rob joined our team in May 2005 when the Financial Planning division purchased his business.

Daniel joined us ion May 2005 and recently graduated from Monash University completing the Bachelor of Business & Commerce with majors in Accounting and Economics. Daniel is currently completing the Diploma of Financial Planning and has worked in the Financial Service Industry for the past year. Outside of work Daniel enjoys soccer, share trading and catching up with his friends.
